Laura & Bailey, Katie & Jack Frost
Jack Pony, as he is affectionately called, is yet another keeper. He is our daughter's best friend and like Bailey also most certainly an angel. Although we just purchased him in September of 2004 he has quickly become one of the family and will never leave the farm. His loyalty, good nature and level head have made him literally THE best pony we have ever come across. No matter how hard he is worked he is always easy to catch, patient while being groomed or saddled, and just an all around great guy. The summer of 2005 will be Katie's first year of showing 4-H and open shows and Jack is the perfect guy to make her dreams come true. They may win some and most certainly will lose some, but most importantly we know our daughter is safe on Jack Pony and that makes him indispensable to our family. He is far from perfect and if not ridden daily does have a few tricks up his sleeve to avoid work, but has definitely made Katie a better rider for it and instilled in her a definite work ethic, since if she wants to do well with him she can't just hop on and go, he needs daily riding to get in the right frame of mind and get on track! LOL We look forward to having a ton of fun with Katie as she starts on her show career with the amazing fortune to have a partner like Jack! He rides english, western, has supreme champion sport pony bloodlines and is even broke to drive. I think I have gotten across just how blessed we are to have Jack in our lives! (Psst... can you tell mom is in love with the pony as much as Katie?? LOL)

UPDATE: August 23rd, 2005 Katie & Jack earned the 2005 High Point Award for the Shiloh Saddle Club in their age division, 8-10 Walk Trot! They completed their show season with amazing performances in everything! Katie has done all of the training on Jack herself, with no parental help other than supervision, and she has done a wonderful job!! They have competed in everything that was offered, including showmanship at halter, english equitation and all speed events! In addition she had some of the largest classes at the show!
