| Meet Travis's other true love! Bailey is a four year old foundation bred mare who is like another child to us. Her sire is the great Charley Dickens, a Robin Reed stallion who has an extensive show record, with 40 points in Halter, 10 points in Western Pleasure, 16 Team Roping Heeling Points, 5 Team Roping Heading, and even one competitive trail point. Bailey's sire is also a producer of many point earning and ROM foals. Her dam is an own grandaughter of Docs Quixote and although was never shown, was a top notch ranch horse in her own right. Bailey is the best minded, most laid back horse we have yet to come across. At four years old we can trust Bailey with anyone, anytime. She is gun broke, kid broke, and so far we haven't found anything Bailey won't do. She is usually the horse chosen when Travis wants to hunt deer on horseback. She is steady and trustworthy and will point out the deer even before we can see them. She trail rides very well, and we have had more friends and people ride her than we can count, and nearly each one has tried to buy her. LOL She is extremely athletic, a blast to ride, & always the first horse up to you in the pasture. Just as sweet as they get, and eager to please. Our daughter has crawled all over her for hours and we have come to the conclusion that Bailey is an angel on earth. We have ridden her in parades, shows, cowboy mounted shoots, everything you can think of Bailey has done it! We are looking very forward to spending alot of years with Bailey and raising a few colts of hers some day. The pic below of Katie on her with just a halter was actually taken when Bailey was two and Katie was seven!! Bailey has been roped off of, and will pony colts or drag logs all day long without ever hesitating. She is also hobble broke. If you are in her pasture she is with you, she just loves people and wants to be with them at all times. She has had reining training and neck reins very well, sidepasses, backs, flying lead changes on cue, and has the foundation for a spin as well. She is currently in training being finished and learns so quickly it is amazing! |
